Intimate Voices presents concerts of classical and contemporary repertoire played by world-class musicians in an annual concert series at its acoustically excellent home venue, the Conservative Synagogue Adath Israel of Riverdale (CSAIR) in Riverdale, the Bronx. Intimate Voices also has a portfolio of donated events in the broader community, bringing music to the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx and other area nursing homes and rehab facilities, as well as to special-needs children and their families.

The musicians of Intimate Voices bring a wealth of concert experience in venues all over the globe to the lovely and intimate CSAIR sanctuary, the ideal setting for experiencing the immediacy and intensity that is at the heart of chamber music. The programming includes masterworks of the repertoire as well as wonderful but lesser-known works of the past and present, balancing the new and the familiar, with pieces that challenge as well as delight.  The musicians introduce the selections in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, and refreshments and a reception with the musicians following the concert add to the intimacy of these special evenings.​

In addition to these concert evenings, the musicians also focus on playing for special-needs children and their families, and for those in nursing homes and rehab centers who are unable to attend concerts. We present an annual free sensory/autism-friendly afternoon Family Program at CSAIR, play for classes of children at a local special-needs pre-school, and play for residents  at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx and other area nursing homes and rehab facilities, all thanks to strong support from the community and annual generous grants from NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital.

Since 2009, Intimate Voices has brought together a growing and diverse community of arts-loving people from Riverdale, Northern Manhattan, Southern Westchester and beyond. We look forward to seeing you and sharing our "intimate voices" with you in Riverdale!
